Get involved at events
Carrefour Familial Hochelaga organizes several small- to medium-scale events each year. Volunteer participation is essential to making them happen. Several events come back regularly.
Back-to-School Festival, in September
Magical Christmas, in December
Fripe ton Stock, in May
Cultural evenings, twice a year
Examples of volunteer tasks and responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food
- Support the team with setup and teardown
- Take professional-quality photos
- Host a booth or activity
- Welcome families
Support families through the Frigo-don!
Once a week, Carrefour Familial Hochelaga offers emergency food support for families. Since it began, Frigo-don has been a project run almost exclusively by volunteers.
Examples of volunteer tasks and responsibilities
- Accompany a staff member on Tuesdays to Moisson Montréal to pick up food
- Unload the truck, sort, and organize the food
- Welcome families
- Distribute food to families
